TODAY MARKS THE START OF RAMADAN IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Kuwait moon-sighting committee said on Friday that Ramadan would begin on Saturday (today) following the arrival of the month's crescent. Judge Ahmad Al-Ajeel, President of the Judicial Supreme Council and the committee's head, said this after the committee's meeting late Friday.


Saturday will be the first day of Ramadan 1443, he stated, after viewing the crescent moon this evening. On this occasion, the committee extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, all citizens and expats, as well as Arab and Muslim nations, he said.
