IFTAR MEALS ARE DISTRIBUTED BY CHARITIES IN PLACES WITH A SIGNIFICANT CONCENTRATION OF EXPATS

Kuwait City: With the commencement of Ramadan, charitable and humanitarian organisations have begun distributing Iftar meals in numerous areas of Kuwait with a high population density of foreign workers. These organisations are continuing to distribute meals to workers in the same manner as they did during the COVID-19 pandemic, where they gained expertise.

This is the third year that these organisations are continuing with this practice. It seems that the trend of organising meal tables next to mosques and in squares disappeared during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the strict requirements for organizing such tables in mosques, charity organizations continued to distribute individual meals to fasting people in areas with a high density of workers.

Hundreds of expatriates of various nationalities wait in lines as food parcels are distributed by the Jahra Governorate authorities. The Ministry of Health has allowed distribution of food parcels individually in the holy month of Ramadan.
