IN KUWAIT THIS YEAR, 638 PERSONS WERE DETAINED IN DRUG-RELATED CASES

Kuwait City: A total of 638 people were arrested in drug cases in the first quarter of this year during inspections across the country. According to the Media Administration of the Ministry of Public Relations and Security of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the arrests were made during a joint operation by the Criminal Security Division of the General Administration for Drug Control with other security forces to nab smugglers and drug traffickers.


Drug dealers are mainly targeting young people. Therefore, the Narcotics Control General Administration continues to work with other security agencies to end the drug menace. Security sources said that all co-operation of citizens and residents is needed to prevent this disaster. They also demanded that parents pay special attention to keep their children away from drugs.
