CONSULTATION TO MAKE HEALTH CERTIFICATE MANDATORY FOR KUWAITI DRIVING LICENSE

Kuwait City: Consultation to make health certificate mandatory for driving license and firearm license. According to a local newspaper, the home ministry has started discussions with the health ministry. It is hoped that this will prevent the issuance of licenses to those with mental health problems and those with health problems. For this, the information on the Kuwait Center for Mental Health and Addiction Center will be shared between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health. 


Earlier, there were controversies over the issuance of firearms licenses to people with serious mental illness and drug addiction. It is hoped that the new move will address such issues. Meanwhile, the proposal is being studied and the study report will be submitted to the government soon, officials said.
