ONE TONNE OF HASHISH SEIZED IN KUWAIT OVER THREE MONTHS

Kuwait City: The General Administration of Public Relations and Security Media Division of the Ministry of Interior has released details of campaigns conducted by the Criminal Security Division of the General Administration for Drug Control in collaboration with other security forces to nab smugglers and drug dealers. In the first quarter of this year, 638 people were arrested in connection with drugs. It is estimated that 508 cases of various types were registered. 


More than a ton of hashish was seized in the first quarter of 2022 in collaboration with the General Administration of Narcotics Control and Security Authorities. In addition, 163 grams of narcotic products were recovered. About 1.5 kg of heroin, 47 kg of cannabis, 89 saplings of cannabis and 100 kg of narcotics lilac were also seized during the search. During this period, 650 grams of narcotics, 500 grams of opium and 120 grams of cocaine were found. Authorities also seized 265,151 pills and 2,930 bottles of imported liquor.
