KUWAIT'S ENVIRONMENT PUBLIC AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING SUSPECTED 'FISH KILL'

Kuwait City: Officials say the Environment Public Authority would increase surveillance of the country's beaches  where dead fish have been discovered. The cause of the fish's death is currently being investigated. Water samples were collected and delivered to the lab for testing from the region where the fish perished. 


The initial assessment was that uncontrolled discharge of sewage into the sea and changes in temperature caused by climate change could lead to mass extinction of fish. Authorities said the Environment Public Authority will continue to monitor coastal conditions in the coming days.
