THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH EXPLAINS HOW TO PAY FOR UNPAID LEAVE IN CASH

Kuwait City: In compliance with the norms and conditions of the Civil Service Commission, the Ministry of Health has put in place a mechanism to pay employees cash for the rest of their yearly leaves while on the job. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mustafa Reda, issued administrative decision No 2014 for the year 2022, and all employees have to do is fill out a form and have it signed by the concerned official and the head of his/her department, as well as the director of the administration or health zone official after verifying the data, and then send the request to the administrative affairs sector's public jobs and private contracts section. 


The administrative decision calls on the Administrative Affairs Authority to take the necessary action regarding the payment of the allowance after checking the data on the application and ensuring that all the conditions contained in the decision of the CSC are met. 

One of the conditions stated in the decision is that the employee must have worked in the government sector for at least 5 years and that the employee's balance after disbursing the allowance must not be less than 30 days until the end of the calendar year, in addition to reviewing the employee's previous two performance reports. One of the conditions further stipulates that the employee must have spent at least two years in the ministry after being appointed or moved, and that the cash allowance must be paid after a one-year period has passed from the date of the decision to grant the allowance.
