THE COVID OUTBREAK HAS EXACERBATED THE COUNTRY'S MOBILE STORE VEHICLE OWNER'S CRISIS

Kuwait City: The Covid epidemic has intensified the crisis faced by mobile store vehicle owners in the country. The Ministry of Commerce has for months suspended licenses for those wishing to enter the area. Licensing has been discontinued to study the market situation and to regulate it accordingly. Hopes are high that it will revive itself in a way that satisfies those working in the field. Their wait for this continues.

Meanwhile, the number of licensed mobile vehicles in the market has reached 2,000. Many owners say the cost of starting a business in the area has doubled in the last two years. With the Ministry ending the issuance of new licenses, owners will have to purchase the vehicle, obtain a license and transfer it to their name. According to sources, coordination between the mobile car industry and project owners is needed to address the hurdles facing investors. To date, they have confirmed that more than 2,000 licenses have been issued on 300 mobile cart sites.
