KUWAIT CONDUCTED A LARGE -SCALE ALCOHOL RAID, SEIZING 14,720 BOTTLES OF FOREIGN LIQUOR AT ONE MILLION DINARS

Kuwait City: Kuwait Customs has seized 14,720 bottles of foreign liquor worth one million dinars ahead of the Eid holiday, but failed to import 14,720 bottles at the port of Shuwaikh. Goods arriving in the country just before the Eid holiday are valued at about one million dinars. 


The liquor was hidden inside a container coming from the Gulf country. An inspector at Shuwaikh Customs said the imported liquor was found hidden among household items. 

Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Al Fahad, Director General of the Customs General Administration, praised the vigilance of the customs staff in combating attempts to smuggle drugs and prohibited substances.
