EID CELEBRATIONS IN KUWAIT WERE ALSO HAMPERED BY TAILORING SHORTAGE

Kuwait City: Despite the arrival of Eid, the country is not ready for Eid clothes due to shortage of tailors. Most of the tailor shops were hampered in preparing clothes before Eid. The sewing market is facing a large labor shortage. And there is a big crisis in getting skilled workers. The crisis is now a negative reflection of the decision not to renew the work permits of expatriates who do not have a university degree.

Due to this law, many expatriates who were engaged in tailoring had to leave the country. People working in the area say that the Eid costumes (Dish Dhasha) were not made due to the shortage of labor in the area. Many left the country when it was decided not to renew work permits for expatriates over 60 and later set standards for renewals that would cost around 860 dinars a year.
