Kuwait City: In the first trading session following the Eid al-Fitr holiday, Kuwait Stock Exchange indexes set new highs. Kuwait's central bank said on Thursday that interest rates would be raised from 1.75 percent to 2%. The increase follows the US Federal Reserve's decision to hike interest rates. The session began trading with a focus on numerous important equities, particularly those in the banking industry.

It was led by the National Bank. At the end of the session, the KFH share increased by 2.2 per cent and one per cent. In addition, the rise in Kuwaiti oil prices and the close of $ 114 per barrel played a significant role in the continuation of the Kuwaiti stock market indexes and variable volatility. The stock market closed at a record high after 2018 yesterday.
