142 CHILDREN ARRESTED IN KUWAIT FOR DRIVING DURING EID HOLIDAYS

Kuwait City: The Traffic and Operations Sector of the Ministry of the Interior conducted a rigorous inspection during the Eid holiday. The inspections were aimed at avoiding traffic jams on ring roads and major roads, preventing careless driving and taking action against minors driving without a license. In the absence of a license, 54 vehicles were transferred to the garage of the Directorate General of Traffic. Forty-four people were arrested for reckless driving.


A total of 28,100 traffic violations were detected by the Traffic and Operations Division. Abdullah Buhasan, a public relations officer with the General Traffic Division, said 142 minors were arrested for driving during the Eid holidays. They were referred to the Juvenile Police. Meanwhile, 16 people and 21 vehicles on the wanted list have been nabbed. He added that the traffic plan was implemented yesterday, the day when everything is open after Eid.
