THE ETHIOPIAN EMBASSY WILL REOPEN IN TWO MONTHS

Kuwait City: Ethiopian Ambassador to Kuwait Hassan Tajo has indicated that his country's embassy will reopen at full capacity in two months. Tajo made the announcement several months after the decision to close the embassy temporarily in accordance with the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs directive on the closure and reduction of its embassies and consulates around the world as part of the austerity plan that began in Addis Abeba some time ago.

Tajo stated in his first remark since his return to Kuwait that some of the embassy's personnel have returned, while the remainder of the staff will return once the embassy reopens. He stated that once the embassy reopens, all consular services will be resumed. When asked about the new embassy headquarters, Tajo stated, "We are looking for a building to rent for the embassy headquarters."
