PANEL FORMED TO OVERSEE HAJJ PRICES AND MONITOR SERVICES

Kuwait City: According to Ministry of Awqaf sources, members of a tripartite committee comprised of people from the Ministries of Awqaf, Commerce and Industry, and the Federation of Hajj Campaigns will shortly carry out the work of controlling prices and monitoring pilgrim services. 


The committee will examine the campaign charges and compare them to the comparable services and costs supplied by Hajj campaigns to individuals who have registered with them. According to the sources, the Supreme Hajj Committee has discussed many future projects, the implementation of which would reduce Hajj prices, particularly since it was implemented in many neighbouring countries and yielded many positive results, such as central registration for pilgrims, which allows pilgrims to register with the campaign that provides the services that suit them. 

The sources explained the committee also discussed a project to determine the segments, which would reduce the costs of performing Hajj, indicating that these projects will be presented to the Council of Ministers for approval.
