AIMS TO REDUCE TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS BY INSTALLING 436 NEW CAMERAS ON KUWAITI ROADWAYS

Kuwait City: Sheikh Ahmed Al Nawaf, Minister of Interior, emphasized the importance of providing better services to the citizens and working harder for the security of the motherland and the citizens. His response came in connection with the inauguration of the new building of the Traffic Operations Division in Al Sabahiya, Ahmadi Governorate. He said the home ministry was striving to provide the best possible security services in line with the latest technology.


The traffic police have been directed to strengthen patrolling on all roads to control traffic offenses, provide better services to the citizens and reduce traffic congestion. There are 436 cameras installed for 24 hour surveillance. Of those installed, 20 PDP cameras are located in Abdali, Fahaheel, Doha Link and Jaber Bridge. The rest of the cameras are installed in a variety of ways, including mobile and CCTV.
