Kuwait City : The Public Authority for Manpower will launch the 'Tayseer' platform on May 29 to recruit illegal residents (bedoun) in the private sector to replace expatriate workers. In a press statement issued today, the authority's Director-General, Ahmed Al-Mousa, stated that the platform for registering bedoun job seekers in the private sector is being launched in collaboration with the Central Agency for Addressing the Situation of Illegal Residents.Al-Mousa went on to say that the platform is an institutional mechanism for regulating illegal immigrants' participation in the labour market in a more positive and effective manner in order to create more job opportunities for them. He went on to say that the goal is to replace expatriate workers with bedoun in order to preserve the demographic structure, protect bedoun rights under the law, and provide them with adequate benefits in line with their qualifications through these opportunities.
