Kuwait City: The weather in Kuwait is expected to stay mostly dusty throughout the day before clearing up by tonight, according to the national meteorology centre. According to Yasser Al-Bloushi, the meteorology department's head of maritime prediction, the country will see northwesterly winds with speeds above 45 km/h, reducing horizontal vision to less than 1,000 metres in certain deserted areas.

Waves at sea are expected to reach six feet in height. Yesterday, Kuwait saw an extremely dense dust storm, which reduced visibility and caused some inconveniences in numerous sectors. Meanwhile, Munther Al-Jalahma, Director of the Medical Emergency Department, said the department dealt with 62 cases between 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, when a violent sandstorm hit.

Al-Jalahma told the daily that the emergency and ambulance workers attended to 32 people who suffered from respiratory problems due to the dust, and eight who were injured in traffic accidents at different times and locations. He affirmed the department is always ready to handle emergency reports any time of the day.
