SELF-SERVICE AT PETROL STATIONS OR PAY AN ADDITIONAL $200 PER 200 FILLS

Kuwait City: The Oula gasoline firm has begun converting certain gas stations into self-service facilities, where customers must fill their own tanks. Abdul-Hussain Al-Sultan, Chairman of the Board, claimed that self-service has commenced at select fuel pumps and that the service of workers who fill the petrol tank has not been discontinued. The buyer will be able to select the option that best suits him.

Due to a labour shortage, which has exacerbated congestion at gas stations, self-service has been deployed. If a worker at a petrol station is utilised to fill the vehicle's petrol tank, a fee of 200 fils is imposed.

For elderly and people with special needs as well as women will be provided stickers by the company where they can avail workers services which will be exempted from paying additional fees.  This service is for a temporary period until the labor crisis is resolved.
