KUWAITIS AND EXPATS HAVE THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN IF MOI MEN VIOLATE THEIR RIGHTS

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior stated that everyone, citizen or resident, has the right to file a complaint against the men in uniform in cases of arbitrary arrest or violation of rights, and that all those arrested are according to prior investigations and after receiving permission from the Public Prosecutor, or through communications received by the Ministry of Interior, and it is motivated by law to deal with them.


The arrest of an expatriate who had painted a tattoo was based on a report received by the Ministry of Interior, and the expatriate was immediately apprehended, and the matter was referred to the Public Prosecution. The same source told that the Ministry of Interior cannot turn a blind eye to any transgression, even by its own employees, and cited the case of referring the file of citizen Abdullah Tami, who claimed he was tortured, to the Public Prosecution, and the decision of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf, to open an investigation.
