Kuwait City: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Committee for the Implementation of Security Council Resolutions issued under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter on combating terrorism and preventing the spread of weapons of mass destruction decided to issue a list of individuals and entities considered terrorists.

According to insiders, this is part of Kuwait's efforts to combat terrorism and dry up its funding. According to sources, this action is being carried out in collaboration with the United States of America, which is co-chairing the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as all other members of the centre, including the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. These measures are considered a continuation of the efforts exerted by the center targeting the financing of terrorism.

These actions also demonstrate Kuwait's and other member-states' desire to strengthen their relationship with the United States of America in combating terrorist financing that threatens the interests and security of the center's member-states, according to sources. According to Security Council Resolution No. 1373/2001, issued under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, the responsible authorities in Kuwait would take the appropriate actions in accordance with Kuwait's Constitution, as well as its rules and regulations.
