SELLS RELIGIOUS JEWELRY, KUWAIT'S GOLD SHOP HAS CLOSED

  • 12/06/2022

Kuwait City: For several violations, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has shuttered a jewelry business in Salmiya. Showing and selling counterfeit gold handicrafts by well-known worldwide brands, issuing invoices in languages other than Arabic, and displaying and selling jewelry bearing illicit religious symbols are all examples of violations. In the purchase invoice, there are violations for not saving client data and generating non-electronic invoices by hand. The store did not keep track of daily purchases. The government has also identified irregularities such as selling gold jewelry in instalments and collecting an additional fee. The Commerce Control Team monitored, inspected, and followed up on the arrest.
