NOON WORK BAN, HUNDREDS OF VIOLATIONS FOUND IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City:  The noon work ban imposed to reduce summer accidents is not being observed in many places. Many companies force their workers to work during the day. Authorities said inspections by the Occupational Safety Division of the Manpower Authority found several violations.


A campaign by the Kuwait Human Rights Society from the beginning of this year to yesterday found 730 similar violations. The inspection was carried out in the Hess Al Mubarak area of ​​the Capitol Governorate in the wake of clear information received by the Occupational Safety Department. Dozens of violations were found at construction sites here. Mohammad al-Ajmi, head of the inspection team at the Capital Governorate, said strict inspections would continue.
