KUWAIT RETURNS TO HIGH-RISK COUNTRIES WITH CORONA

Kuwait City: After Kuwait was within the first level months ago, the increase in Corona infections in the country during the past few days caused it to be added to the category of high-risk countries, according to a report by the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and its weekly update that included Kuwait, yesterday. , within the third level (of 4 levels), which is the level that applies to places that had more than 100 cases per 100,000 residents.


Commenting on the report, well-informed health sources confirmed that this listing of Kuwait, along with 114 other countries at the same level, will not affect the movement of travel, and will not cause repercussions or restrictions on it, stressing that the epidemiological situation in Kuwait is good and the situation is good. 

The first and second levels come within the “moderate” and “low” risks, and the fourth, which was previously the highest risk category, is currently reserved for special circumstances, such as a significant increase in the number of cases, the emergence of a new worrying variable, or the collapse of health care infrastructure . Under the new system, no destination has been placed at Level 4 yet.

It is noteworthy that the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention placed a large part of Europe in the third level for several months, and a number of famous European destinations are still among the remaining sites at this level, most notably France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
