STRONG SECURITY CHECKS CONTINUE IN KUWAIT, 5,150 PEOPLE ARRESTED

Kuwait City: The Department of Public Security has released the numbers of law breakers arrested during strict inspections this year. The authorities have disclosed the details of inspections conducted from January 1 to June 30 this year by establishing 12,467 check points. During this period, 5150 persons who were reported as absconders and who were on the wanted list were arrested from six governorates. 


121 cases related to drugs and alcohol have been taken up. According to the complete information, 360 people on the wanted list have been arrested. A total of 3171 residency violators were arrested. 1619 people who were reported as absconders were also found. 842 vehicles on the wanted list have been seized. 149 cases were taken for possession of liquor. Officials said that drugs were also seized in 1,152 cases.
