Kuwait City: According to the Public Authority for Civil Information, only 8 residential regions are home to 1.437 million people, or 31% of the nation's total population. The Salmiya district is the most populous, with a total of 282,541 people, followed by the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh district, according to a recent report by PACI that examined historical data for the regions and the extent of population growth and decline in 180 residential and agricultural areas up until the end of last year. Jleeb was displaced throughout the last year, resulting in 56,779 persons moving to other regions and the region's population dropping from close to 328,000 in 2019 to roughly 271,000 by the end of 2021.
