THE EXCHANGE RATE OF KUWAITI DINAR ROSE AGAINST FOUR FOREIGN CURRENCIES

Kuwait City: The exchange rate of the Kuwaiti dinar rose against four foreign currencies yesterday. Against the Euro, it rose 1.5 percent to 308,816 fils. This is the dinar's highest level against the euro. Amidst the ongoing energy crisis, fears of a recession in the euro area have emerged. Due to this, the euro has fallen sharply against the dollar globally. 


The dinar has also appreciated against the Japanese yen. It stands at 2,204 fils, recording an increase of 1.53 percent. This is the highest rate according to data from the Central Bank of Kuwait. However, the exchange rate of the Kuwaiti dinar against the dollar has fallen. There has been a decline of 0.16 percent. The Kuwaiti dinar has hit its lowest level against the greenback since last June.
