KUWAITI MINISTRY OF INFORMATION IS MONITORING MEDIA THAT PORTRAYS RELIGION BADLY

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Information is monitoring all print, visual and audio media that portray the religion and the nation badly. Violators are referred to the concerned authority in accordance with the rules and regulations governing publication activities. The book 'Uncovering the Hidden in Sahih Al Bukhari' was banned from 2018 as it was found to portray religion in a bad way.  


Ministry of Information Spokesperson Anwar Murad said that the ministry will not tolerate negligence in implementing the rules and regulations governing the publication process under any circumstances. Audit teams of the Ministry of Information are checking everything published in public libraries and sales centers. He also clarified that those who do not follow the rules and regulations are referred to the competent authorities.
