Kuwait City: Airlines that fly out of Kuwait International Airport have increased their levels of readiness to coincide with the arrival of locals and citizens who spent the Eid al-Adha holiday abroad. Until yesterday, according to airport sources, 285,000 people have flown home from abroad for the Eid holidays on 1,737 flights.

According to reliable sources, the summer travel season and the Eid holiday both fell during the time when pilgrims were travelling to and returning from the Holy Land. As a result, the agencies working at the airport had a greater responsibility to ensure that passengers were comfortable and that their departure from and return to the country went without incident.

According to the sources, the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation has adopted a comprehensive plan to organize passenger movement at the airport, which was based on doubling the number of employees at the gates, in the transit area, and in the departure and arrival halls, and taking several steps to confront the congestion, and to end the procedures quickly and easily, despite the doubling of flights, including security checks at the departure and arrival halls.
