CYCLISTS DECLINE MINISTRY OFFER

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior claimed that a study it had done indicated that cyclists would be most comfortable exercising their hobby on Fridays between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 am on the Jaber Bridge. However, the cyclists claimed that this time was inconvenient for them and rejected the ministry's offer.


The farmers also said that because now is the finest time for them to transfer their goods and fresh produce, they will suffer if the bridge is closed to cars at this time. In this case, the ministry decided that only if governmental organisations or private businesses ask for permission to organise marathons on Fridays will the bridge be closed to vehicular traffic.
