KUWAIT'S ADDICTION TREATMENT CENTERS FACE SIGNIFICANT OBSTACLES

Kuwait City: An annual cost of 150,000 dinars is reportedly associated with treating a drug addict in addiction treatment facilities. Regarding this, no technical figures have been released. The sources in the medical area have made these things known. It can be challenging for parents and drug users to locate a quality treatment facility. Some folks will continue to receive the same care for years. Some people move back and forth between centres. Ultimately, their medical care ran roughly 150,000 dinars a year. 


At the same time, there is a critical scarcity of facilities offering psychiatric and addiction treatment, and there is a severe issue in finding qualified medical personnel. There are three doctors for every 100,000 patients with mental disabilities. For every 10,000 patients, there are only 20 psychiatric beds available. Additionally, sources noted that there is one nurse for every 10,000 persons with mental disabilities.
