KUWAIT TAKES EFFECTIVE ANTI-COVID-19 EFFORTS

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs Talal Al-Mutairi confirmed on Monday that his government has taken numerous precautions to protect people and residents since the outbreak of the new coronavirus (Covid-19). 


This was stated during his participation in the fourth Arab regional high-level meeting on human rights protection and promotion. He went on to say that Kuwait's efforts to alter the preventive health law and economy contributed significantly to mitigating the pandemic's humanitarian and economic consequences. He noted that the conference addressed the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-orders Sabah's to the government since the beginning of the pandemic to give support and protection to all segments of society. 

Al-Mutairi emphasised that the pandemic has had a significant influence on basic human rights concerns, such as the right to live and access to health care, given that the conference was an opportunity to recollect Arab countries' efforts in combating Covid-19. The Arab League and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights co-hosted the summit  (UNHCHR).
