Kuwait City: The domestic worker recruiting firms have been cautioned by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to render all services to the citizens and residents entrusted to them in order to avoid closing their offices in accordance with the law. The ministry issued a warning on its official Twitter account, noting that one of the reasons for the office's closure is when it collects more money than allowed by the government. The agency also stated that refusing to hire new employees will result in the licence being revoked.

It emphasised that it will not think twice about prosecuting lawbreakers and using its authority to protect consumers. The Ministry of Commerce reaffirmed in an awareness tweet that was attached to this publication that the cost of hiring domestic help through the office is 890 Kuwaiti dinars, including the ticket, and that 390 dinars must be paid when the employer presents the workers' passports to the office under the hashtag "Participate in the supervision."
