EXPATS WHO DISOBEY ENVIRONMENTAL RULES WILL BE EXPELLED FROM KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Sheikh Abdullah Al Ahmed, the director general of the Environment Public Authority, gave the Department of Environmental Inspection and Control instructions to actively carry out the decision to deport foreign nationals who break environmental regulations. The Ministry of Home Affairs should be consulted before implementing any strict measures, it is urged. 


The choice has been made to prosecute lawbreakers more severely, including those who fish in the Gulf of Kuwait, transport trash and dump it illegally, and steal sand. If an environmental infringement is discovered, not just a warning should be given; the inspection report should be recorded and the violator's civil ID should be withdrawn. and ought to be delivered to the local police station. After that, according to Al-Ahmed, they have been told to hold him in a designated cell until the deportation process is through.
