KUWAIT EXPATRIATES SENT HOME $18.3 BILLION IN 2021

Kuwait City: As life begins to recover from the ravages of the Covid-19 outbreak, the labor market in Kuwait and the other members of the Gulf Cooperation Council is making an impressive comeback. In comparison to 2020, remittances from Gulf nations have grown. The Gulf Statistics Center, which is connected to the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council, released these statistics. 


According to a report released in July by the Gulf Statistics Center, $127.2 billion was sent home by Gulf employees in 2017. It was only $116.5 billion in 2020. Remittances have increased by 9.2 percent in 2021 after declining for four straight years. With an increase of 6.1 percent, the labour market in Kuwait is ranked third in the study. Kuwaiti labourers sent $18.3 billion in 2021.
