STUDY ON RISE IN LIVING EXPENSES

Kuwait City: According to reliable sources, "The leave balance allowances will be paid to employees starting in the first week of September, following the approval of the state budget by a necessary decree. In the budget, it will be regarded as a covenant.


The names of persons eligible for leave allowances are being finalised by ministries and a few other governmental organisations. According to the sources, the Economic Committee of the Cabinet was entrusted with researching the rise in living expenses so that, following the completion of its own scenarios, the Cabinet would approve it. They clarified that the analysis takes into account the elements of the rise, its price, and the people who are eligible for it. 

According to the suggested scenarios, retirees will also be eligible for the allowance (pensioners). According to the sources, the intention is to issue a law at the High Electoral Commission to supervise the upcoming elections, which will increase transparency and integrity. The elections will take place after the formation of the government, which has become almost ready and is anticipated to be announced before the end of this week.

They emphasised a number of policies in this framework that will improve the electoral landscape overall and allay the concerns of individuals who harboured misgivings.

The Ministry of Social Affairs is nearly finished processing petitions for selling the leave balances of more than 2,500 applicants who meet the requirements in relation to leave allowances.
