INCREASE IN NUMBER OF KUWAITI GIRLS WHO USE DRUGS

Kuwait City: Security sources revealed that the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) receives about 120 drug users weekly, a quarter of whom are girls, at a daily rate ranging between 10 and 15, which is higher during the weekends. This is a concerning indicator of the suspicious increase in the spread of the drug scourge in the nation and the increase in the number of drug users. They clarified that those who use narcotics and intoxicants like Larica, Shabu (crystal meth), hashish, or liquors are directed to the court for the proper sanctions.

DCGD has been putting in great effort to combat this deadly plague as drug use among users has recently increased. It has proven successful in apprehending significant drug traffickers and preventing the arrival of significant amounts of drugs through the border, land, and sea ports. Even if the abuser only has a minor wound, the department does not accept him since he might have hurt himself in order to blame the Interior Ministry for his physical suffering.

Any injured abuser is initially treated in a hospital, after which the department receives him and refers him to the appropriate authority for action. Girls use narcotic drugs including Larica, hashish, and Chemical in large numbers.
