SCORCHING HEAT, ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION IN KUWAIT CROSSES 16,000 MEGAWATTS

Kuwait City:  The country's daily electricity consumption crossed 16,000 and created a new record. Yesterday, the total electricity consumption in the country was 16,083 MW. As the temperature crossed 50 degrees Celsius, the electricity consumption also skyrocketed. August is the month with the highest electricity consumption in the country. Therefore, the Ministry of Power aims to coordinate all sectors to maintain the quality of the power network and provide uninterrupted power to all consumers. 


There are 24-hour emergency teams in various governorates to resolve customer complaints quickly even during peak hours. The ministry is staffed by trained technical teams to resolve power outages in record time. At the same time, weather experts have informed that the temperature will drop in the next few days.
