INTEGRATED PROGRAM IN KUWAIT TO COUNTER NARCOTICS

Kuwait City:  The Ministry of Interior has developed an integrated and multifaceted plan to combat narcotics. Sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs say that the plan includes strengthening controls at ports to prevent the entry of narcotics into the country. This plan will be implemented along with the elimination of users from within to protect the society from this menace which has become a major threat in recent times. 


A meeting was held a few days ago under the chairmanship of Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al Nawaf, Assistant Under-Secretary of the State Security Agency and Acting Criminal Security Under-Secretary to ensure coordination between the concerned sectors. Various departments including Coast Guard, Port and Customs and Narcotics participated in this meeting. The decision is to arrest the sellers after stopping the flow of drugs into the country.
