ACCORDING TO STUDY, KUWAIT HAS MORE THAN FOUR MONTHS WHERE THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE 40 DEGREES

Kuwait City: A study report is out that worries about rising temperatures in the country. According to the study, the temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius for more than 4 months of the year. The study warns that continued rise in temperature will have adverse effects on public health and increase mortality. Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, Kuwait University College of Public Health. This is clarified in the study prepared under the leadership of Barak Al Ahmed. 


It has been warned that 14 out of 100 deaths in Kuwait by the end of this century may be due to extreme heat as a result of climate change. The effects of climate change will not affect all sections of the country equally. It will mostly affect the workers who work in hot sun. According to the report, the average temperature is expected to increase by 1.8 to 2.6 degrees Celsius by 2059 and by 2.7 to 5.5 degrees Celsius by 2099.
