BANNING CASH TRANSACTIONS ON LABOR RECRUITMENT OFFICES IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Social and Technical Affairs, Fahd Al-Shariaan, issued a decision banning cash transactions on the offices and companies recruiting workers. The resolution included:


Article One: Offices, institutions, companies and all their branches that recruit domestic workers and have a license from the Public Authority for Manpower and a commercial license from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry are obligated not to deal in cash when making any contract or transaction.

The payment must be debited from the customer's account through non-cash payment instruments that the Central Bank of Kuwait allows to operate. 

Article Two: Every facility that violates the provisions of the previous article shall be closed and referred to the investigation authorities.
