Kuwait City: Kuwait reduced its holdings of US Treasury bonds last June by acquiring $46 billion, compared to $46.3 billion in May, a decline of $300 million, and thus Kuwait ranks second in the Gulf after Saudi Arabia.


According to data published on the US Treasury website, Kuwait's holdings of US bonds fell from June 2021 levels of 47.2 billion dollars, an annual decline of 2.5%, with a value of 1.2 billion dollars.

Kuwait has diversified its US bond portfolio between short-term bonds worth $10.4 billion, while the largest percentage of long-term bonds remains at $35.55 billion. yield on those bonds.
