ALL RESIDENCY AFFAIRS DEPARTMENTS INSTRUCTED TO CEASE ISSUING FAMILY VISAS

Kuwait City: The six governorates' residency affairs divisions have been told to stop issuing family visas until further notice. According to the source, this is in accordance with the Ministry of Interior's senior leadership's directive, which makes it clear that certain professions, like medicine, are exempt.


According to the source, those who had previously been granted visas to visit their families here are not affected by the decision. He clarified that the choice was made in accordance with the guidelines issued by the director general of the Residency Affairs General Department and the assistant undersecretary for residency affairs. According to him, the decision is finalised once a study on regulating visit visa procedures is finished.
