AFTER RESIDENT'S REPORT RECKLESS DRIVERS AND TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS, DUBAI POLICE FINE THOUSANDS OF DRIVERS

Dubai: Residents can report traffic violations to the Dubai Police through the 'We Are All Police' programme. The authority has recorded 34,870 traffic fines in the last seven months.


Colonel Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Directorate of Traffic at Dubai Police, stated that 8,976 of these fines were submitted by Dubai Police officers and 9,321 were recorded by CCTV surveillance cameras. During the same time period, the programme received 16,572 calls from concerned community members reporting traffic violations, he said.
