KUWAIT MINISTRY OF INFORMATION TERMINATED CONTRACTS OF MORE THAN FIFTY CONSULTANTS AND EXPERTS

Kuwait City:  Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdul Rahman Al Mutairi issued decisions to terminate the contracts of more than fifty consultants and experts from the Ministry of Information as a new reform measure to protect public money. Sources indicated that contracts from various sectors of the ministry have been terminated.


The minister pointed out that although they did not need a salary, they received it. Minister Al Mutairi retained a very limited number of consultants to meet the needs of the media sector. At the same time, under-secretary of the Ministry of Information, Mohammad Bin Naji, on the instructions of Al Mutairi, the sources said, he issued a decision to cancel all the committees and work teams of the ministry with immediate effect.
