MORE THAN 600 WORKERS VIOLATED BAN ON AFTERNOON WORK IN 3 MONTHS

Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Manpower concluded its inspection tours of work sites during the afternoon to follow up on compliance with the decision not to work in open areas based on the decision to prevent employment between 11 pm and 4 pm from last June until the end of this August. 


The authority announced that the total number of violations observed since the beginning of June amounted to more than 360 violations against companies that did not comply with the decision, while the total number of sites inspected reached 420 sites, while 450 notifications of violations were registered during the inspection tours.

The total number of workers in the violating sites exceeded 600 workers, while the number of reports received through the hotline was only 20. The authority’s statement indicated that the statistics of the last ten days of this month included that the Occupational Safety Center carried out inspection tours on 20 different sites, during which it was able to monitor 20 violations of companies that did not comply with the decision, and prevention reports were issued, as 20 workers were present in the violating sites.
