Kuwait City: With the significant spread and expansion of facilities, the idea of nutritional supplements has recently changed from what was previously common, and the volume of consumption by an individual, whether men or women, differs as some people use these supplements on a daily basis, such as proteins, fat burners, and keratin. According to sources in the industry, young people consume these products at a rate of at least 80 dinars per month, or about 1,000 dinars annually, while bodybuilders may spend up to 200 dinars per month, or about 2.4 thousand dinars annually. Female consumers are more interested in supplements because they are in seasonal demand, peaking in the summer and declining in the winter.

Muhammad Bukhamseen, the general manager of Health House, confirmed that there is currently a high demand for nutritional supplements from both sexes and noted that one factor contributing to this demand growth is Kuwait's extensive network of health clubs. The majority of Kuwaitis, who are most interested in their health, muscle growth, and fat loss, are between the ages of 18 and 50, he continued, adding that 60–70% of those who are interested in nutritional supplements see it as a temporary trend rather than a way of life.

Bukhamseen noted that young people consume nutritional supplements on a monthly basis for a minimum of 30 dinars for young women and a maximum of 80 dinars per person, indicating that the choice of product is primarily based on flavour. In addition to Britain, the United States of America, and Canada, Bukhamseen noted that Eastern Europe's Poland and Hungary are among the most significant exporters of various kinds of nutritional supplements.

According to industry insiders, protein isolate is the most popular nutritional supplement because it is easily absorbed and contains no lactose, sugar, fats, or carbohydrates. Keratin monohydrate, which helps the body eliminate excess water and store it in muscle mass, is second in sales, followed by BCA, a fat burner that boosts burning, and omega-3 vitamins, which come in third place.
