SILK CITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN, KUWAIT CABINET MAKES CRITICAL DECISION

Kuwait City: The Cabinet tasked the Minister to complete the efforts made and take appropriate measures to activate the project to develop the Silk City, a northern economic zone from a legal, executive and procedural point of view. The Cabinet has assigned this responsibility to Municipal Affairs, Rana Al Faris. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting held at Saif Palace yesterday. 


The meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah. Regarding the KFH initiative, the Cabinet discussed the recommendation of the Ministerial Committee to monitor the follow-up of mega development projects under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khalid Al Ahmed Al Sabah. It was also decided to entrust the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development with coordination with the relevant authorities to enhance the governance and effectiveness of the follow-up mechanisms.
