Kuwait City: Abdulaziz Al-Rabbah, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Association for Project Management, acknowledged that many businesses currently operating in Kuwait lack the necessary management expertise to handle the projects that have been entrusted to them by the relevant authorities. He emphasised that the need for professional training has grown urgent during this phase, particularly with the start of a new stage of construction and reconstruction.

In a press release, Al-Rabbah emphasised the significance of giving the private sector a full opportunity to contribute to development, creating small and medium-sized businesses to create job opportunities, and developing a diversified production base to create an efficient service sector, provided that the two components of expertise and training are sufficient to enable it to carry out the tasks entrusted to it in the best way.

Al-Rabbah urged the private sector to be ready to take advantage of the chance to take the lead in the development plan by gaining the necessary knowledge through professional and academic courses made available by specialised organisations. In order to strengthen the social capital, he continued, having creative human capital is one of the most crucial pillars of the state's annual development plan. This plan calls for people to develop their creative and innovative thinking skills and capabilities as well as their ability to produce a competitive workforce that is productive and successful.

By working to encourage employees to use professional practises in project management, he made a point about how crucial it is to do so. It is noteworthy that the Kuwait Project Management Association is one of the civil public benefit associations and that it was registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2017 with the intention of achieving a number of objectives, chief among which is collaboration with international non-profit organisations in project management as well as offering assistance and knowledge to both private and public entities.
