MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS RESUME THEIR ACADEMIC JOURNEYS, MASSIVE TRAFFIC JAM ON FIRST DAY

  • 03/10/2022

Kuwait City: MP-elect Hamdan Al-Azmi commented on the massive traffic jam on Sunday's first day of school. He attributed this to the Ministry of Education's decision to set the same closing time for all schools. He proposed resuming the previous closing times of 12:00 noon for elementary and 1:00 pm for preparatory and secondary levels.

The academic year 2022/2023 has officially begun, with approximately 277,553 students in intermediate and secondary stages in all educational districts joining those in kindergarten and primary schools who began the year earlier last Sunday. According to sources, government schools for the secondary and intermediate stages were fully prepared for the new academic year, while administrations, in collaboration with educational district officials, watered down challenges that could have prevented primary and kindergarten schools from operating.

According to sources, the new school year will begin smoothly after the needs are met, maintenance and cleaning work is completed, and the number of workers in the Education Ministry's educational and administrative facilities is increased. According to sources, the concerned educational sector officials will continue their inspection tours to ensure readiness and monitor work progress.
