EXPATS RECEIVE KD 343 WHILE KUWAITIS EARN AN AVERAGE SALARY OF 1,513

Kuwait City: According to official data, the average monthly wage for citizens increased from 1,491 dinars at the end of December 2021 to about 1,513 dinars at the end of June 2022, representing an increase of about 22 dinars in both the public and private sectors.


In contrast to the average salary of citizens working in the private sector, which increased from 1,255 dinars to 1,297 dinars over the same period, the average monthly wage for citizens working in the government sector increased from 1,539 dinars at the end of December 2021 to 1,555 dinars at the end of last June. The average monthly wage for expatriates in Kuwait increased by about 5 dinars per month, about 343 dinars at the end of last June, compared to 338 dinars at the end of December 2022.
